CINNAMON
Cinnamon can be used to remove and prevent blackheads. Mix one tsp of cinnamon powder and honey to form a thick paste. Apply the paste on the affected area before bed and leave it on overnight and wash it in the morning.
You can also mix one tsp each of cinnamon powder and lime juice with a pinch of turmeric powder (optional). Use this as a facial cleanser.
TURMERIC
Turmeric, which works well for minor burns, can also be used to treat blackheads. Mix turmeric powder with two tbsp of mint juice. Apply it to the affected areas. Allow it to dry for a few minutes and then wash the area with lukewarm water.
CORNMEAL
Cornmeal acts as an abrasive to clean dirt blocking the pores in your skin. Mix one tbsp of powdered cornmeal with regular facial cleanser. Before applying the mixture, use steam to help open the pores.
Then apply the mixture and gently massage it in a circular motion. Concentrate on the most affected areas. After a few minutes, rinse your face with cold water. This will help close the pores.
