● India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has topped the list of the world's most popular leaders by British magazine 'The Economist'.

*  The Francis Schottky Bridge in Baltimore, USA collapsed when a commercial ship collided with it.

* Israel- Hamas's war has wreaked havoc in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. The situation in Gaza has become deplorable with the deaths of civilians on one side and the cries of hunger on the other. 18 people lost their lives trying to grab food by airdrop.

* A Nellore breed cow called 19 FIV Mara Imovis sold for US$ 4.8 million at an auction in Brazil. It is Rs.40 crores in Indian currency.

* The Islamic country of Saudi Arabia has decided to participate in beauty pageants on an international stage for the first time in the country's history.  Rumi Alkahani, a 27- year- old beauty, has been selected for this.

* The most powerful solar storm has recently hit Earth. As a result of this storm, severe disruptions in the geomagnetic field have occurred, according to the US Meteorological Agency.

* Baloch militants attacked one of the naval airbases in  Balochistan province of Pakistan. Immediately alerted Pakistani armed forces launched a counter attack. Four terrorists were killed in these attacks. 

* Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the attack on the concert hall was carried out by Islamic terrorists.

• The former President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Sole, suggested that the president of the Maldives should give up his stubborn attitude and hold talks with India.

* Aviation giant Boeing has announced that Fly CEO Dave Calhoun will step down.

• Scientists from Weill Cornell Medicine and Cornell Engineering in America have created an ear replica that resembles the human ear.

* Government of India on investigation into the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a terrorist declared by India  Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that he wants to work constructively.

• 42 soldiers and civilians were killed in airstrikes by the Israeli army and rebel groups near Aleppo, Syria.

The US District Court sentenced Sham Bankman Fred, the co- founder of the bankrupt crypto exchange company 'FTX', to 25 years in prison for defrauding customers and investors.

• Famous film director Christopher Nolan will be honored with Knightwood by the British government. It is known that Nolan's film Oppenheimer won the Oscars this year.

●It has been found that polar ice caps are melting due to global warming, which is causing fluctuations in the Earth's rotation speed. It is said that its effect is on the calculation of time. The study was done by researchers from the Scripps Institute of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego Yanam's details were published in the journal Nature.

• The United Nations 'Food Waste Index' report states that 19 percent (in 2022) of food is wasted worldwide, while 78.3 crore people are caught in the grip of hunger. The United Nations is tracking the progress of developing countries with a goal of halving food waste by 2030.

• A team from Aston University in Birmingham has created internet speeds of 301 terabits per second (TBPS) (equivalent to 9000 H movies) using standard optical fiber. This is almost 45 lakh times faster than the average broadband internet speed.

* The Bharat Ratna Awards ceremony was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in  Delhi.

• Center appoints Sadanand Vasant Date as Director General of National Investigation Agency. He is a 1990 batch Indian Police Service officer of Maharashtra cadre.

* The Association of Democratic Reforms has revealed the information regarding the 17th Lok Sabha which lasted for five years till 24th of 2019. During this period, the Lower House held a total of 15 meetings for 55 days

• According to the 'India Employment Report 2024' jointly prepared by the ILVO and the Institute for Human Development (IH), 83 percent of the total unemployed population in India will be youth in 2022. According to the report, the number of educated youth among the unemployed was 54.2 percent in 2000 and will increase to 65.7 percent in 2022. Among them, there are more women (76.7 percent) than men (62.2 percent).

• Delhi CM Kejriwal, who was arrested in the liquor case, is in ED custody. He is issuing government orders from jail. This was blamed by the Lt. Governor of the state, VK Saxena.

• Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), an NGO, revealed that 225 or 44 percent of sitting Lok Sabha MPs have criminal cases against them.

| The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to provide admissions on the basis of National Eligibility Test (NET) score without the need to conduct separate examinations for PHA admissions. All universities have been advised to implement this from 2024-25 onwards.

* At present, the scarcity of sand and the spread of carbon dioxide have become a problem for the environment. To overcome this, carbon dioxide is mixed with soil and construction waste to create a new material, according to the Center for Sustainable Technologies of IIS. This material they have developed reduces the use of cement by 30 percent and sand by 50 percent.

● Smartphones and computers in India, which have been working on the basis of network time protocol of America, will now work through our own system. For this ISRO has developed 'Rubidium Atomic Clock'. Cesium atoms are used in atomic clocks that are widely used around the world. Rubidium atoms were used in this clock.

* The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has decided to digitize the insurance policies taken by everyone from now on. As a result, all the policies issued by the insurance companies to their policy holders have to be provided in 'e- insurance' mode.

● Foreign Exchange (Forex) Reserves For the week ended March 22, RBI said forex reserves rose to $642.63 billion.

● Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the government is ready to make changes if necessary in the 'Agniveer' scheme for recruitment in the armed forces.

* Microsoft has appointed Pawan Davuluri, an Indian- origin IIT Madras alumnus, to head its Windows and Surface divisions.

State: 

* AIG Chairman Dr D Nageshwar Reddy said that a diabetic research center has been set up in their organization in Hyderabad.

* Prabhavati, Chief Scientist at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, who researches cooking oils and healthy fats, received the award.

* The Bharat Ratna Awards ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. on behalf of PV Narasimha Rao His son Prabhakar Rao Received the award through the hands of President Draupadi Murmu.

* The Central Election Commission has taken a key decision on volunteers in AP. Due to a series of lawsuits, the High Court has imposed restrictions on the services of volunteers. It has issued instructions not to conduct any money distribution programs related to welfare schemes with the volunteers and made it clear that the volunteers' mobile phones, tablets and supplies should be handed over to the DEOs.
