Difference between “must” and  “should”

Must: ఖచ్చి
తమైన బాధ్యత/ బద్ధునిగా చేయుటకు వాడుతారు.
Should: సిఫార్సు, సలహా, సంభావ్యత కోసం వాడుతారు

“Should” and “must” are both model verbs. MUST is used when expressing obligation or an unavoidable requirement, whereas SHOULD is more of a recommendation, obligation, advise, probability, expectation and conditional mood.

“Should” is an auxiliary verb - a modal auxiliary verb. We use should mainly to:
• 🌼talk about probability and expectation
• 🌼express the conditional mood
• 🌼give advice or make recommendations
• 🌼talk about obligation
For instance:
• 🟢should - recommendation, advisability
• 👉Obese people should eat low-fat foods.
• 👉You should start studying.

🟣should - obligation
• 👉I should be at the office before 9:00.
• 👉I should return her book before she reaches school.
• 👉We should take care of our parents.

🟡Should - possibility & expectation
1. 👉 My mother should be in Delhi now.

Conditional clauses
Should be used in conditional clauses expressing possibilities, suppositions etc.
• 👉If he should come, ask her to wait.
• 👉Should it rain, we will cancel the trip.

“Must”
MUST is a modal verb – in other words, it helps give meaning to other verbs. It is used to express obligation, give orders and give advice.
It is used to express certainty. It can also be used to express necessity or strong recommendation,
🔴We use ”must” to give emphasis to an opinion
For instance:
• 👉I must say that it was a frightening experience.

We use “must” when we want to say that it is essential
For instance:
👉 I must work on my grammar.

🟢Giving a recommendation
👉You must come and visit us while you are in Delhi.
🔵To make an assumption
• 👉You must be hungry.
• 👉My car is missing. Someone must have stolen it.

🟡You can use “must” as a noun also
For instance:
👉If you are going out in the Sun, sunscreen is a must.
