Nandi facing the sanctum sanctorum and Shiva Lingam in the same shape is common in Shiva shrines. But in this Kotilingeshwar Kshetra, Swami appears with five faces and receives worship as Amritalingeshwar. The temple has flagpoles and Nandi idols on all four sides where the devotees themselves enshrine Shiva Lingams.
A green field of 1 crore linga can be seen between the yalas. This temple is located in Muktya of Jaggayapet mandal of NTR district. Where wisdom flows as the northern channel... The temple has an impressive architectural style. Usually we see the statue of Nandi in front of the Lord in the Shiva temple. But because of the darshan of Swami Pancha Mukhalingeshwar here, there are four Nandi idols and flagpoles on the four sides of the idol. Also, women are almost not allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum in Shiva temples. But... only here women can go inside the sanctum sanctorum. You can directly see the anointing done by Ishwar. Also, as Lord Venkateswara is on the right side of this temple, Swamy gives darshan to the devotees along with Sridevi- Bhudevi here. The temple also has a Sadu Payam where devotees directly worship the Shivalingas. The temple administrators say that more than three lakh Shivalingas have been installed so far. This temple is ten km from Jaggayapet town. will be at a distance. If those who want to come by train get down at Khammam railway station, buses and private vehicles are available to go to the temple from there. If those who come by bus route reach Jaggayapet from Hyderabad or Vijayawada, there are buses and autos to reach the temple from there.
