WhatsApp Tricks for you

WhatsApp has become an integral part of our daily lives, connecting us with friends and family with just a few taps. But did you know that there are several hidden tricks and features in WhatsApp that can level up your messaging game? In this blog, we will suggest some amazing WhatsApp tricks that you may not be aware of.

1. Customize notifications for different contacts: Tired of receiving notifications for every WhatsApp message? Well, you can customize it now. Just go to the contact's profile, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select 'Custom Notifications'. Here, you can set a different notification tone, vibration pattern and LED colour for that particular contact.
2. Pin important chats: If you have a long list of chats and struggle to find the important ones, then this trick is for you. You can pin up to three chats to the top of the chat list for easy access. Just long press on the chat and select the pin icon from the top bar. This way, your important chats will always be at the top.

3. Format your text: Want to make your text bold, italic or strikethrough in WhatsApp? It's simple. To make your text bold, add an asterisk (*) before and after the desired word or phrase. To make it italic, add an underscore (_) before and after the text. And to strikethrough, use a tilde (~) before and after the text.

4. Send messages without typing: We all have faced situations where we don't want to type but still need to send a message urgently. Well, WhatsApp has a solution for that too. Just go to the chat where you want to send a message, tap on the microphone icon next to the typing bar and speak your message. WhatsApp will convert it into text and send it.

5. Star important messages: Sometimes we receive important information or links in WhatsApp messages, and it gets lost in the sea of other messages. To avoid this, you can star such messages for quick access. Just long press on the message and select the star icon from the top bar. You can access all your starred messages by going to 'Settings' > 'Starred Messages'.

6. Create shortcuts for important chats: Do you have a few contacts with whom you chat frequently? You can create a shortcut for their chat on your home screen for easy access. Just long press on the chat and select 'Add chat shortcut' from the top bar. This way, you won't have to go through the whole list of chats to find them.

7. Hide your last seen: Sometimes we don't want others to know when we were last active on WhatsApp. You can change your privacy settings to hide your last seen from everyone or only from specific contacts. Just go to 'Settings' > 'Account' > 'Privacy' > 'Last Seen' and choose your preferred option.

8. Use WhatsApp Web: If you're working on your laptop or PC and don't want to switch to your phone every time a message comes, then you can use WhatsApp Web. Just go to web.whatsapp.com on your browser, scan the QR code with your phone and voila! You can now access all your chats on your computer.

9. Send messages to multiple contacts at once: WhatsApp allows you to send messages to multiple contacts at once, saving you time and effort. Just go to the chat list, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select 'New broadcast'. Now select all the contacts you want to send the message to and type away!

10. Mute group chats: We all have that one annoying group chat that keeps buzzing throughout the day. Well, you can mute it now without leaving the group. Just go to the group chat, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select 'Mute notifications'. You can choose to mute it for 8 hours, a week or a year.

11. Recover deleted messages: Accidentally deleted an important message? Don't worry; you can recover it. WhatsApp backs up your messages every day at 2 am, so if you have deleted a message after that, you can uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp to restore the deleted messages.

12. Use WhatsApp as a notepad: Did you know that you could use WhatsApp to save important notes or information? Just create a group with no members and use it as your personal notepad. You can access it from any device and even share it with others if needed.

13. Mute videos before sending: We have all been in situations where we want to send a video but don't want to disturb others around us. Well, you can mute the video before sending it. Just tap on the speaker icon at the top right corner of the video and send it.

14. Use WhatsApp as a calculator: Instead of switching between apps, you can use WhatsApp as a calculator too. Just open any chat, type in a calculation, and WhatsApp will give you the answer.

15. Use voice commands: Did you know that you could use voice commands to send messages on WhatsApp? Just say "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri" followed by "send a WhatsApp message to (contact's name)" and dictate your message. This is especially helpful while driving or in situations where you cannot type.

These are just some of the many tricks and features that WhatsApp offers. So go ahead and try them out; they will surely make your WhatsApp experience more enjoyable and efficient. Have fun chatting!
