No matter how many fancy mechanical products are made in modern times, they cannot compare to handicrafts, there are many areas in our country that are famous for handicrafts. But 'Pemberti', which is the flagship of the Telangana state, is famous for its handicrafts. The artisans here have also won national level honors for their craftsmanship.
Pemberti village of Janagama district has passed the ages for its amazing craftsmanship. Copper, brass and brass metals give life to handicrafts and flourish as the birthplace of engravings. Brand image is achieved by making mementos, logos, pictures and goods in new forms. From the time of Nizam to today, it has been specially recognized for making items according to the changing times. Pemberti Momontole is mainly used in temples, government and private offices, retirement gatherings, honors and sports competitions in the state. are attractive. Lepakshi Emporium, a name given to handicrafts, achieves a turnover of over Rs. 50 lakhs per year. Before the formation of Telangana state, the name of Pemberthigram in Warangal district of united Andhra Pradesh spread across the continent through these handicrafts. With the redistribution of districts in the state of Telangana, the old Warangal district was transformed into 5 districts and a new Janagama district emerged. 7 km from the district center. In the distance is the village of Pemberti. As this village is located in the middle of Warangal- Hyderabad, people regularly come here to buy these works of art. The village is located on the National Highway and has bus and rail connections from Hyderabad, Secunderabad. There is also a railway station in Pemberti, so there is ease of transportation.
It is very skillfully made with amazing shapes. The artworks are well received. Apart from this, apart from the works of art, bronze statues are also made and given. As per the request of the army officers, the bronze statue of the army officer Umravsang was made in just 10 days after hard work. It is a record to do and give. Orugalluk has a special place
Orugallu (present- Warangal) district in Telangana has a special feature. When we mention the name of Orugallu, we first remember the historical places like Vaishthambala Temple, Ramappa Temple and Warangal Fort. After this, the village of Pemberti got the same name and importance due to its craftsmanship. The makers of brass, copper and silver items here founded the Vishwakarma Brass, Copper and Silver Industrial Co- operative Society in 1958. In 1972, Ayla Acharya, an artist, started making engravings as Stysthapa Kudiga. At that time 57 artists were making these. At present 47 members of the society are not engaged in work. The society has set up Vishwakarma, Nandi Crafts Showroom and sells the manufactured art pieces.
Made since Nizam's time:
From the time of Nizam, brass pots, cooking utensils and other items were made in Pembarti, pandan, attargan and soap boxes used by Nizam Nawabs were made here. After independence, the brass products manufactured here gained a lot of popularity. Over time, the demand for brass items decreased as steel vessels flooded the market. Since 1972, they have changed the way of making goods. They started making mementos, logos, award figurines, statues of deities, decorative paintings of temples, brass makara torans, flag poles, crowns, shields and various types of carvings. Currently, Pemberti artisans are making sophisticated home decor items like sofas, bells for temples, shathagopas and lamps. These are mainly Gangalam, Isurai, along with water tanks for planting flowers. Idols of Ganapati, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Sitaram and Lakshmana are being made.
Recognition in Telugu Mahasabhas:
The World Telugu Maha Sabha held in Hyderabad in 1975 brought recognition to Pemberti Nagishi items and the artisans who made them. The then Chief Minister Jalagam Vengala Rao gave an order worth Rs. 5 lakh to give mementos to the invitees who came to these Mahasabhas. Nagishi Momento logos went from here to Congress Plenary held in Tirupati and Mahanadu organized by TDP under NTR. On November 18, 1980, the then President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy inaugurated the Master Crafts Menga Society for the year 1978-79 in Delhi. Made in handicrafts and made for the development of Pembarti.

Visit of foreigners:
Every year foreigners from many countries visit Pemberti village. So far, foreigners from England, America, Russia and other countries come and observe the making of the art pieces themselves and are amazed by the work of the artists.
Ayla Kanakamma, a poor artisan in Pemberti village. Born to Ambayya couple on September 6, 1936, Ayla Acharya was the father of Pemberti handicrafts. Although the Handicraft Society was established in 1953, it was Ayla Acharya who provided the facilities for it. He joined the society as a member from 1956 and served as its president from 1968 to 2006. In 1979-80, he received a national level award at the hands of the then President Neelam Sanjiva Reddy. Similarly former Prime Ministers Mrs. Indira Gandhi, P.V. Narsimha Rao: Honored with former President Gyani Jailsingh. Honored and felicitated with the joint Governor of Andhra Pradesh Mrs. Kumud Ben Joshi. Worked as Director of AP Handicrafts Development Corporation. Twice awarded Merit Scholarship by Central Govt. Ayla Acharya is the one who inspired many enthusiasts as artisans to adopt new techniques and bring new works of art to the world from time to time. The people of Pembarti call Achari as the father of handicrafts because of his handicraft work. He passed away on 25th January 2016.
