Ebola disease

Ebola is spread by the Ebola virus (EBOV), a virus in the Filoviridae family. It is mainly found in animals. Ebola is a virus that causes severe inflammation and tissue damage throughout the body. It is called the dengue virus because it can cause problems with the body's blood clotting system and lead to bleeding as blood leaks out of the small blood vessels. Six different types of viruses have been found, but only four types are known to cause disease in humans. The Ebola virus spreads through direct contact with bodily fluids - blood, saliva, sweat, tears, mucus, vomit, feces, breast milk, urine, and semen of an infected person. It is also spread by touching objects

contaminated with these fluids. This virus is named after the Ebola River (Republic of the Congo) - because a riverside village saw the first outbreak of the virus in 1976.
