Kerala will be the first fully digital banking state in the country

Explaining that #Kerala is the first state to fully digitize its banking services, Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that such recognition will revive the state's economy. Vijayan attributes this result to social intervention by local governments, infrastructure development and technological advancements in the banking sector.

Kerala Fiber Optic Network (K-FON) project. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) is a joint venture between the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and a state-owned company, each holding 49%, with the state holding the remaining 2%. A consortium led by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is working on the project and will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 35,000 km network over the next seven years. Funded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), the project is expected to cost 10,282 centres, including annual investment costs for 1,044 centers and administrative and operational costs.

K-FON provides internet access to residents throughout the province and has built a 17,155 km fiber optic network.

After the end of the project, everyone in the country can use the Internet for free or for free.

Kerala is the only state in India that has declared "Internet rights" as a fundamental right of citizens. Permissions only matter if they are enforceable.

Kerala Fiber Optic Network Project is an initiative to provide access to internet services to every resident of Kerala. This is our attempt to bridge the digital divide.
