Fields are solar power stations!
According to researchers at Oregon State University, all the electricity needs of the world's people could be met if 1 percent of the farms were devoted to solar energy. This new system is called agrivoltaic because the soil can be farmed at the same time. Everyone thinks that desert soils are better for solar power generation because of the sun. But it has been found that if solar panels are installed in desert areas where intense hot winds blow, their performance is damaged. When planted in agricultural lands where the same crops are grown, they produce the highest level of solar electricity and produce better crops. That means- just like humans, solar panels also need to be exposed to cold air and the climate should be dry. Only then are they effective. Their performance will decrease if the humidity in the atmosphere is high or the air is warm. So if this comes into practice then electricity problem is solved.
