When we think of Ganapati, we think of Gajamu Khude. But unlike that, Adivinayak Temple in Tamil Nadu is a place where Lord Vinayaka is worshiped in the form in which he first appeared i.e. with a human face. Agajanana padmarkam Gajananamaharnisham aneka danta bhaktanam ekadantamupasmahe. ...  we praise Ganesha by saying. When we think of Ganasatha, we remember a face with big ears, a head and a single tooth. Actually Ganesha first appeared in human form. Due to his father's anger, he is worshiped as a gajmukh. The story of Ganesha emerging as a man and becoming Gajamukha is found in the Ganesha Vratakalpa. Goddess Parvati, who is auspicious, crushes the turmeric she has painted and makes a doll. Bringing the doll to life, she names it as Vinaya Kudi and makes it the gatekeeper of her temple. Lord Shiva, who did not know this, entered Parvati's shrine as usual. Ganesha, who is there, stops Shiva. He says that he will not let him go inside without his mother's permission. He was surprised by this. Tiruvarur will be different from that Gajasura brought. Apart from this, every month Swamini Vinayakar offers offerings of kudumu and jilledukaya to the lord. in Thilatharpanapuri
After cutting off Ganesha's head, Lord Shiva learns about it and kills him and sacrifices Gajamukha to Ganesha. At that time Ganapayya was worshiping with Gajamukha. But, this place where Lord Vinayaka appears as an anthropomorphic person appears to the devotees in his human form. That is why Naramukha Ganapati and Aadi are known in this area. Sankatahara Chaturdashinadu. Special pujas are performed.
