Prasad without salt is the belief of the devotees here

It seems that the offerings reported to the Lord are done not only with care but also with taste. But in this Tiruvannagar Venkatachalapati temple called Oppiliyappan, only saltless prasads are offered to the lord. As Venkateswara Swamy's brother, this Swami who is being worshiped as a Bhakta Varada who arranges marriages quickly...

Oppiliyappan Temple...recognized as one of the hundred and eight Vaishnavisms...has an impressive architectural style with a five- storied Rajagopuram in a spacious courtyard. Thirunageswaram is located near Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. The temple Lord Vishnu is worshiped here by Oppiliyappa Nga. This lord is considered to be the brother of Tirumala Venkateswara. People who are unable to go there due to any reason to pray to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala can visit this Lord and pay their prayers. In this temple built by the Cholas in the eighth century, Swami Bhudevi appears along with her and blesses the devotees. It is called Markandeya Kshetra.
Sthalapuranam
According to Brahmanda Purana... once Tulasimatha did penance for Lord Vishnu. Appreciating that penance, she asked that if Lord Vishnu appeared, she would be given a place in Swami's bosom, equal to Goddess Lakshmi. Swami blessed him and told him to wait for him. So Tulsi came to this place

She started waiting for Swami. Also... Sage Markandeya.. Lord Vishnu took pity on Lakshmi when he did penance to give birth to his daughter. So when sage Markandeya saw a baby girl named Tulsiva, he brought her and raised her as Bhumi Devi/ Bhudevi. Some years ago, an old man came and asked Maharshi that he would marry that girl, Sasemira said. He told various reasons that she could not cook properly.. and it was too small. Even so.. when the old man insisted that he would marry her, he understood that it was Vishnumurthy and happily prepared to marry her. It is believed that Swami married Tulsi, the embodiment of Goddess Lakshmi, and settled in this area. If the Chola kings built a temple here some years ago, it is said that it was developed by the Thanjavur kings. To this temple

Along with Bhudevi and Markandeya...
Devotees going past the Rajagopuram to the sanctum sanctorum see the Lord standing at a height of eight feet. Swami Chenta Bhu Devi and Markandeya Maharshi can be seen sitting. After that, you can visit the idols of Krishna, Rama, Hanuman, Garuda, Alwars, etc. in this premises. If unmarried people worship this lord, they will get married soon.. Those who are married

It is a belief that married life will go smoothly without any problems if visited. Also, devotees show interest in performing Shashtipurti and Satabhishekam ceremonies in the presence of Swami.

Why not have salt...

Like all the temples.. Pulihora, Daddyodanam, Katte pongali, Vadalu, Murukulu, Sukarpongali etc. are reported here to the Lord. But there is no salt in the rice. Because... when Lord Vishnu came to marry Goddess Bhudevi, he said to sage Markandeya that he would eat whatever was cooked by the goddess... even without salt. That is why salt is not added in the prasads that are reported to the Lord. But it is said that if prasads are eaten inside the temple premises, they taste good even if they are not salted, but when they come out, they feel bland.
